Maui Dive Shop PADI and SSI Dive Courses


We offer a large assortment of both SSI and PADI dive programs. To learn more about any dive program, please click on the "DETAILS" link on the right side column. We offer a 48 hour cancellation policy and the following courses. You may also be required to complete the PADI medical form which you can download below.





INTRODUCTORY DIVE: The underwater world of Maui is waiting for you! You don’t have to be a certified diver to experience SCUBA. Our experienced instructors will teach you the basic skills to go out and have a first safe and fun dive. X X
REFERRAL DIVES: Scuba Students can be referred from Mainland dive courses to complete their requirements for Open Water Certification. We offer Check-out dives for any training agency (some may be for an additional cost). X X
OPEN WATER DIVER: If you have always wanted to learn to dive but have not had the time, this is the perfect opportunity to take a class in our beautiful Hawaiian waters and return home as a certified diver. X X
ADVANCED OPEN WATER: The Advanced Open Water Course is designed to provide the novice diver with a structured, well supervised, means to gain practical experience after Open Water Certification. X X
SKILLS UPDATE: How sharp are your diving skills? Has it been 3 or more years since your last dive? If so, your Hawaiian diving adventures will be more enjoyable with a tune up. It is also required. X X
STRESS AND RESCUE: This course is a prerequisite for all leadership training as well as a requirement, along with five specialty certifications, for the highest non-instructional level certification SSI offers, the MASTER DIVER. X X
BOAT DIVER: The course is designed to familiarize divers with the skills, knowledge, planning, organization, procedures, techniques, problems, and hazards of boat diving. X X
COMPUTER DIVER: The Computer Diver Course is designed to be a safe, supervised introduction to diving with a computer. It will familiarize students with the operation, skills, procedures, and problems of diving with computers. X X
DEEP DIVER: The Deep Diver Specialty is designed to be an introduction to deep diving and to help the student develop the necessary skills, knowledge, and techniques to safely participate in deep diving activities. X X
FISH IDENTIFICATION SPECIALTY: During the Fish Identification Specialty Course you'll go on two open water dives (which may be completed in one day). These dives allow you to practice basic fish identification techniques. X X
UNDERWATER NAVIGATOR: The Underwater Navigation Specialty Course is designed to familiarize divers with the skills, knowledge, planning organization, procedures, techniques, problems, hazards, and enjoyment of underwater navigation. X X
NIGHT DIVER: The Night / Limited Visibility Specialty Course is designed to provide students with a fundamental be an introduction to night diving and to help the understanding of diving at night and in turbid water. X X
UNDERWATER PHOTOGRAPHER: No photo experience required! That's what the program is for - showing you how to take award-winning pictures underwater. During your Underwater Photographer Specialty Course you'll do two open water dives, which will be conducted in one day. X  
DIVE MASTER: The Dive Master course is the first professional leadership level in the PADI progression. The course requires high level demonstrations of diving and swimming skills, along with knowledge of diving theory. X X
MULTI-LEVEL DIVER: The Multilevel Diver Specialty Course is designed to be a safe, supervised introduction to multilevel diving. You will be exposed to a variety of different types of multilevel dive calculators (the wheel and various types of dive computers). X X
PEAK PERFORMANCE BUOYANCY: PADI's Peal Performance Buoyancy Specialty Course is the perfect opportunity to hone your buoyancy skills. Perfect your buoyancy and you'll conserve air, energy & our precious environment. X X
UNDERWATER NATURALIST: Your PADI Underwater Naturalist Specialty Course will introduce you to different aquatic life and include an overview of responsible human interactions with that aquatic life. X X
